Elections Office Assistant / Clerk
The Boone County Auditor is accepting applications for a Full-Time Elections Office Assistant / Clerk. Applicants preferably should possess a post-secondary degree. High school degree supplemented by job related courses such as bookkeeping, office practice or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Primary duties of Election Office Assistant/Clerk will be with the elections process; collecting voter registrations and maintaining state election data base; planning and conducting all Local, State and Federal Elections in Boone County along with other duties as assigned or needed. The Auditors Office is also responsible for accounting and payroll for Boone County; transfers of real estate and reporting valuation; receiving local budgets, certifying them to Department of Management, and preparing property tax statements; preparation of county budget and financial reports; and providing clerk services to the Board of Supervisors.
Successful applicant must be a self-starter, capable of multi-tasking, and have excellent written and verbal skills and possess strong organizational skills, be experienced in data entry including Excel, and enjoy customer service. Starting salary is $34,810.00 and includes a competitive benefits package.
