The Board of Health is appointed by the Board of Supervisors, organized with jurisdiction over public health matters within Boone County. This volunteer Board meets at least six times each year to review and enforce regulations of the State Health Department. They manage the provision of public and environmental health services in Boone County. The Board consists of five members, with one member being a licensed medical physician, and other members having nursing, farming and community expertise. The Board of Health members are:
