The Boone County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team is a part-time team comprised of ten certified officers and two medical personnel. Our team has its own self-supported response vehicle as well as full complement of chemical and tactical weapons. Our team is trained in High risk warrant service, hostage rescue, and active shooter response.
Because we are a part-time team this allows our office to have advanced tactical trained officers working on every shift which provides faster response to possible threats in the county.
