7-01-11        7:31pm  Deputy Gray responded to an incomplete 911 call to a residence in Beaver, faulty phone line.

7-02-11        1:46am  Sgt. Wingate made a traffic stop at 335th and Iris. Driver Danzik H. Miller 16 of Bouton will be cited for possession of drug parapharnilia, he was turned over to his mother.

7-02-11        7:14am  Deputy Godzicki responded to a complaint of cattle loose in the area of of the 1400 block of S Ave, Madrid. Cattle were back in a pasture when he arrived.

7-02-11        1:03pm  Deputy Godzicki responded to a complaint of a vandalized mail box in the 1000 block of 222nd Dr, Boone. Mail box had been struck by an object, not a vehicle. Investigation continuing. According to owner incident had taken place within the hour.

7-02-11        1:56pm  Deputy Godzicki responded to a structure fire at 1750 V Ave, Madrid. Boone Fire responded, and turned out to be a controlled fire of an old chicken house.

7-03-11        12:24am  Deputy Ellison and Fangman both responded to a complaint by a motorist that he had driven through an area with a large group of what he believed were underage persons consuming on the roadway in the 2100 block of 180th Boone. Individual who called it in also yelled at the group that he had called the cops and they all scattered. When Deputy arrived area was quiet and all the suspects had left the area.

7-03-11        2:44am  Sgt. Wingate assisted the Boone P.D. with a call of an assault that took place near the Vibe Tavern in Boone. 2 males were arrested.

7-03-11        5:51pm  Deputy Zeutenhorst arrested a Lee A. Jorgensen 35 of Polk City near the LEC on West 3rd, Boone. Warrant was a Boone County warrant bond $300.00 for obstructing police. 

7-03-11        9:43pm  Deputy Fangman investigated a car-deer accident 6 miles SE of Stratford on P Ave.  Kenneth D. Patterson 63 of Stratford was north bound when he struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damages were est. at $2,000.00 to a 1999 Chevy.

7-04-11        12:54am  Deputy Zeutenhorst assisted a stalled motorist at Highway 17 and 30. Where able to get the vehicle started and were enroute to Ames.

7-04-11        2:02pm  Deputy Godzicki responded to a complaint of a possible drunk driver north bound on Highway 17 from 210.  Vehicle was stopped by a DNR Officer. Driver was charged with possession of alcohol under the legal age.  Driver was Tyler S. Wisecup 19 of Ogden.

7-04-11        2:46pm  Deputy Godzicki responded to a domestic situation in Pilot Mound with parents argueing over custody of minor child. Deputy was able to resolve the problem for now.

7-04-11        4:47pm  Deputy Zeutenhorst began an investigation of the theft of an ATV and other items from a storage shed in the 1000 block of Juneberry Ogden. investigation continuing.

7-04-11        8:20pm  Deputy Zeutenhorst responded to a complaint of a dog running at large in Boxholm, Humane Society was called to capture the dog.

7-04-11        4:54pm  Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue was dispatched to assist with a water rescue at Hickory Park in Story County [ Colo ]  Turned out to be a body recovery.

7-04-11        11:16pm  Deputy Fangman made a traffic stop at Carlson's Wildlife Refuge. Two cited for possession of alcohol under the legal age. They were Caitlin C. Axland 20 of Irwin Iowa, and Katlyn B. Wood 20 of Monroe Iowa.

7-04-11        11:47pm  Deputy Zeutenhorst investigated a car-deer accident 2 miles east of Woodward on Highway 210. Doteen L. Dessel 48 of Madrid was east bound when he struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. damages were est. at $4,000.00 to a 2004 Pontiac.

7-04-11        3:18pm  Deputy Godzicki investigated a two vehicle accident in Pilot Mound at 2nd St, and Walnut.  Penny M. Hein 25 of Pilot Mound was backing out of a drive way and struck another vehicle operated by Gregory Peitzmeier 54 of Pilot Mound who was west bound on 2nd St. No injuries were reported. Damages were est. at $100.00 to Hein's 1996 Ford Ranger, and $2,000.00 to Peitzmeier's 202 Ford Taurus. Hein was cited for failure to yield right of way.

7-05-11        12:30am Deputy Fangman and Zeutenhorst responded to Fraser for a structure fire. The old Fraser tavern was burned to the ground.Boone Fire and Ogden Fire all responded. investigation continuing, building was vacant and no injuries were reported.

7-05-11        8:06am  Deputy Godzicki responded to a complaint of a possible drunk driver near Highway 17 and 205th. Vehicle was stopped and driver Eddie R. Simpson 46 of Boxholm was arrested for OWI 2nd Offense, open container of alcohol, and possession of drug paraphernilia, passenger Nathan D. Carlson 36 of Jefferson was arrested on an outstanding warrants out of Boone and Story Counties, also open container of alcohol and possession of drug paraphernilia. Investigation continuing.

7-05-11        2:46pm  Deputy Godzicki responded to a complaint of garbage dumped in the are 0f the 600 block of 22nd St, Boone.  This is the third complaint for this area this summer.

7-06-11        12:14am  Deputy Fangman observed and checked out a suspicious vehicle at the Waterworks boat ramp area. 4 People were in the vehicle, deputy could smell marijuana and searched the vehicle and 4 people. One Person arrested was Brandon Glisson 29 of Boone, charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug parapharnilia, and open container of Alcohol.

7-06-11        5:23am Deputy Fangman investigated a car-deer accident 1 mile NW of Woodward on M Ave. Mason W. Burkhart 14 of Woodward struck a deer in the roadway, causing $2,000.00 in damages to a 2010 Chevy Impala. No injuries were reported.

7-06-11        9:09am  Deputy Pontius investigated a car deer accident on the Old Orchard Rd, Woodward State Hospital grounds. Driver Jody L. McNaughton of Jefferson struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported, damages were under $1,000.00 no state report completed.

7-06-11        12:12pm  Deputy Pontius responded to an alarm souding at 2331 230th Ames, was a false alarm.

7-06-11        9:54pm  Deputy Ruter stopped a suspicious vehicle near X Ave and 220th, Ames.  Charged with possession of alcohol under the age, were Aja Randall 16 of Ames, and Mollie L. Murphy 16 of Ames. Also charged with Open container in the vehicle was Lukkas D. Garth 21 of Ames.

7-06-11        10:26pm  Deputy Zeutenhorst responded to a complaint of several cars along a roadway and possible juvenile alcohol party in the area of the 500 block of 320th. When Deputy arrived vehicles took off toward Dallas County and persons were observed running.  Ones that were caught and cited were as follows Even D. Kiefer 18 of Ogden, Keenan P. Mayhugh 18 of Perry, Jacob M. Kruger 18 of Perry, Kirk C. Jamison 18 of Perry, Laura Delp 17 of Perry, and Kali Woods 17 of Perry. All cited for possession of alcohol under the legal age.  Investigation continuing. Others cited for possession under legal age [Alcohol] Alauna N. Sellers 17, and Keenan P. Mayhugh 18 both of Perry.

7-07-11        7:07am  Deputy Pontius responded to an alarm sounding at 2210 229th Place, Boone. False alarm.

7-07-11        10:24pm  Deputy Zeutenhorst responded to a complaint of a motorcycle laying in a ditch in the 1300 block of Quill Ave. No one was around the vehicle. No damages appeared to have ran out of gas.

7-07-11        10:24pm  Deputy Ruter investigated a car deer accident on Highway 30 east bound lanes near L Ave. Kendall L. Clark 52 of Boone was east bound when he struck a deer in the roadway, causing $3,500.00 in damages to a 2007 Honda Accord. No injuries were reported.

7-07-11        10:11am  Deputy Pontius responded to a complaint of a minor accident on highway 17 and 250th. Vehicle had struck the back of a trailer that was stopped in road construction area. State Trooper was already on scene and would take care of the report.

7-08-11        7:26am  Deputy Pontius responded to a 3 car pile up on Highway 17 near Luther in the Construction area. Ronald L. Steensen 43 of Guthrie Center was south bound on 17, when he struck the back of a parked vehicle waiting for the pilot vehicle in the construction zone, that first vehicle struck was operated by Stacy Craven 36 of Boone, and then struck another vehicle operated by David Terrell 66 of Madrid, before he was able to stopped he struck a 3rd vehicle operated by John P. Kinyon 43 of Boone. No injuries were reported. Damages were est at $2,000.00 to Steensen's 1997 Plymouth, $1,800.00 to Kinyon's 1995 Plymouth,$25,000.00 to Craven's 2010 Dodge, and then $3,500.00 to a 2007 Ford F150 belonging to Boone County Engineer's Office.  Steensen was cited for failure to stop in a safe assurred clear distance.

7-08-11        6:37pm  Deputy Gray investigated a two vehicle accident 4 miles east of Boone on Highway 30. David K. Larson 40 of Ankeny was west bound when he decided to make a u-turn and head east bound right in the area of the construction where the traffic merges head to head, while doing this he struck the back of an east bound vehicle operated by Michael S. Fank 44 of Boone. No injuries were reported. damages were est. at $2,000.00 to Larsen's Mercury sable and $2,000.00 to Fank's 1986 Volkswagon.

7-09-11        8:15am  Deputy Pontius responded to a medical assist of reported person slumped over his seat in a vehicle on Highway 30 just east of the Des Moines River bridge. Individual was OK.

7-09-11        9:52am  Deputy Pontius responded to a medical assist in the 100 block of Pine in Boxholm. Patient transported to Trinity Hospital in Fort Dodge by Ambulance.

7-09-11        10:44am  Deputy Pontius responded to a medical assistance call to E18 west of Highway 17 about 3 miles. Individual was taken to the Boone County Hospital by Ambulance.

7-09-11        11:28am  Deputy Pontius responded to a call of man lying in a ditch with motorcycle laying on its side next to the man on Highway 169 just north of 300th. Turned out that the man had ran out of gas and was taking a nap next to his motorcycle, waiting for a friend to bring gas.

7-09-11        11:56am  Deputy Pontius responded to a complaint of vandalism to a pick-up in the 1300 block of Quill Ave. Incident took place on Wednesday and just reported today, Window broken out of the Pick-up, investigation continuing.

7-09-11        12:12pm  Deputy Pontius responded to the Boone Y-Camp on an incomplete 911 call. Turned out to false alarm, everything checked out O.K.

7-09-11        2:54pm  Deputy Pontius responded to  medical assist at the Ledges State Park on a possible heart attack near the picnic area, Boone Ambulance responded.

7-09-11        3:31pm  Deputy pontius responded to a complaint of a Dodge Ram pick-up that was parked in the middle of the Boat Ramp on M Ave. Vehicle was parked so no one could get onto or off the river. No one was around the vehicle owner or operator could not be located, the vehicle was towed.

7-09-11        6:11pm  Deputy Gray responded to a medical at 7 Oaks west of Boone. An individual had accidently driven over a friends foot and the foot was bleeding. Boone Ambulance responded. The driver Kevin L. Muell 23 of Ames was arrested for O.W.I. 1st.

7-09-11        9:43pm  Deputy Gray responded to Don Williams Entrance on a complaint of a domestic situation. Parties involved spoken to and no arrests. Male party taken to Casey's in Ogden.

7-10-11        12:08am  State Trooper requested assistance with a drunk driver east bound lanes on Highway 30 just west of the Lincolnway. Deputy Assisted.

7-10-11        9:29pm  Deputy Gray investigated a car-deer accident 1 mile East of Madrid on Highway 210. Driver Susan M. Bredthauer 21 of Iowa Falls was west bound when she struck a deer in the roadway, causing $3,000.00 in damages to a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am. No injuries were reported.

7-10-11        9:41pm  Deputy Zeutenhorst investigated a car-deer accident 7 miles NW of Ogden on Highway 169. Amanda L. Canny 31 of Ames was north bound on 169, when she struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damages were est. at $3,000.00 to a 2005 Chevy Impala.

7-11-11        12:23am  Deputy Fangman stopped a suspicious vehicle at the E57 Boat Ramp west of Luther. Driver Jeffrey D. Roloff 21 of Fairfield Iowa was cited for open container of alcohol in a vehicle.

7-11-11        12:44pm  Deputy Godzicki responded to a complaint of a rolled over tractor in the 1200 block of 217th Place, Boone.  The 70 year old male had received injuries with hip pain. The tractor was a John Deere Lawn Tractor with mower deck that had tipped while mowing the ditch. Boone Ambulance and Fire responded.

7-11-11        1:36pm  Deputy Godzicki and Sgt Kendall arrested a Spencer M. Sisco 22 of Boone, on a Boone County warrant for  theft 2nd degree , and 4th degree criminal mischief. This was for the damages and theft of lights from the Bike Trail Bridge west of Madrid, earlier this spring.

7-11-11        4:46pm  Deputy Zeutenhorst responded to a complaint of a vehicle partially on the roadway north of 250th on Highway 17. Vehicle was towed.

7-11-11        10:08pm  Deputy Zeutenhorst responded to a business Van Wall Equipment east of Madrid on 210, reference security alar sounding. Turned out Alliant workers were in the area making repairs and most likely set the alarm off.

7-12-11        6:49pm  Deputy Zeutenhorst responded to a neighbor dispute in the 1600 block of 334th, Rd. Madrid.

7-13-11        8:18am  Deputy Godzicki responded to a personal injury accident on Highway 30 east bound lanes near the Des Moines River Bridge west of Boone. Driver Patrick J. Hallowell 20 of Bakersfield Colorado was east bound when he lost control and rolled his vehicle into the ditch. Injured were two passengers Sidney Sheridan 15 of Macy Nebraska, and Nile Sheridan 19 of Linwood Nebraska. Halloway was charged with no drivers license, failure to maintain control and pending additional charges awaiting substance evaluation results. Another passenger Kameron L. Jackson 18 of Macy Nebraska was charged with possession of drug parapharnilia. Damages to a 2001 Jeep were est. at $10,000.00.

7-13-11        1:21pm  Deputy Godzicki assisted with traffic control with a personal injury accident at Highway 30 and Airport Rd, City limits of Boone. State Patrol will cover the accident report.

7-14-11        7:12am  Deputy Godzicki arrested a Kayla A. Leffler 22 of Ames on a Boone County warrant for a probation revocation, original charge OWI, bond $2,000.00. She turned herself into the Sheriff's Office.

7-14-11        9:36am  Deputy Godzicki spoke to parties involved in a dispute over trespassing issues in the 1200 block of Quill Ave.

7-14-11        10:57am  Deputy Godzicki responded to a complaint of a disabled tractor along the roadway on Highway 30 near the Des Moines River Bridge.  Tractor was off the traveled portion and will be moved later by the owner.

7-14-11        11:31am  Deputy Godzicki responded to the Woodward State Hospital for an ambulance assist.

7-14-11        1:14pm  Deputy Godzicki responded to a medical assist with a woman driving who was near Highway 17 and Highway 30. She was stopped with sudden vision problems. Taken to the Boone County Hospital.

7-15-11        10:16am  Deputy Pontius investigated a complaint by the hospital of a dog bite that occurred in the 1600 block of 200th St, Boone. Neopolitin Mastiff owned by Dewell Hollingdworth bite a Craig Leaf of Rural Boone. Leaf had been teasing the dog when it bit him. Dog is current on all vaccinations.

7-15-11        7:10pm  Deputy Gray made a traffic stop in the 400 block of E18. Driver Dustin K. Akin 37 of Fort Dodge was cited for no insurance, speeding and driving while license suspended.

7-16-11        1:32am  Sgt. Wingate investigated a car deer accident on Highway 144 NW of Perry. Melissa J. Boldy 31 of Jefferson was west bound when she struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damages were est. at $5,000.00 to a 2002 BMW.

7-16-11        6:06pm Deputy Gray made a traffic stop in the 1200 block of 216th. Driver Michael R. Bork 58 of Boone was arrested for OWI 2nd, littering, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug parapharnilia.

7-16-11        9:04pm  Deputy Ellison made a traffic stop at 240th and Clover. Driver Ryan D. Peppels 20 of Boone was arrested for operating a vehicle while License barred.

7-16-11        10:42pm  Sgt Wingate made a traffic stop in the 300 block of Story St. Boone. Driver of motorcycle Thayne B. Burt 27 of Boone was charged with driving while license suspended.

7-16-11        11:58pm  Deputy Gray made a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Marshall St. Boone. One person Lathen E. Ely 40 of Boone was arrested for possession of drug parapharnilia.

7-18-11        11:38am  Deputy Pontius made a welfare check on a person living in the 500 block of Q Ave. Everything checked out O.K.

7-18-11        2:00pm  Deputy Pontius investigated a single vehicle accident 11 miles south of Ogden on Highway 169.  Garrett M. Nitch 17 of Boone was north bound on 169, when the driver apparently lost control and rolled his vehicle into the west ditch.  Nitch was taken by private vehicle to the Boone County for treatment of injuries. Damages were est. at $5,500.00 to a 1998 Chevy Lumina.

7-18-11        2:50pm Sgt. Kendall began an investigation of a reported theft from a residence in the 6100 block of West Lincolnway, Ames.  Investigation continuing.

7-18-11        3:04pm  Deputy pontius responded to a complaint of a theft from Van Wall Equipment just East of Madrid on 210. Gator and trailer reported stolen, investigation continuing.

7-18-11        4:32pm Deputy Ellison responded to the Story County Jail to pick-up a prisoner that was being released and wanted on a Boone County warrant. Arrested and transported to the Boone County Jail was Brian L. Robertson 33 of Ames. Ordered to serve 60 days in the Boone County Jail.

7-18-11        5:56pm  Sheriff's Office responded to a complaint of two missing boys from Grand Junction on the Des Moines River. Boys had gone into the Des Moines River around 1pm and riding ski jets with life vests near the Water Works. Father cannot locate and is concerned. Search and Rescue was dispatched boys were  located by Search and Rescue about a mile from the site they were to meet. One of the Ski jets had sank. The 13 and 14 year old boys were O.K. and returned to parents.

7-18-11        6:38pm  Boone Transport Officer was called to the Boone County Hospital to transport a female mental patient to Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames. was completed at 8:30pm

7-18-11        10:00pm  Boone County Transport Officer responded to the Boone County Hospital to transport another female mental patient to Mercy In Des Moines. completed at 2:30am.

7-19-11        1:11pm  Sgt. Kendall received a complaint of a theft of backpack from Sunstream Retreat Center. Complainant from Dubuque, beleives it was stolen sometime between 12am and 2am July 15th. Items including a lap top were in the backpack. Investigation continuing.

7-19-11        1:47pm  Deputy Zeutenhorst responded to an sleeping driver at Highway 30 and Airport Rd. When Deputy arrived he contacted dispatch for an ambulance.

7-20-11        2:14pm  Deputy Godzicki took a complaint call of an ATM Card that had been compromised. The card had $300.00 removed from the account in Louisiana. Card has been canceled.   

There have been several other complaints over the past week or so. involving scams by using the phones. One is the scam to attempt to help a Grandson or Granddaughter, by a Grandparent. They pretend to be their grandchild and they need money  because they were in an accident in Mexico or Canada. Another is where your cell phone is called and Wells Fargo recorded message indicates that your debit card has been compromised, and to push a number to reactivate your account. This is a ploy to get your account number, hang up and physically call the Bank, don;t talk to the numbers that called you.

7-22-11        7:55pm Sgt. Wingate responded to a medical call on the Bike trail near Violet Ave. Cyclist had hit gaurd rail and possibly fractured ribs. Boone Ambulance responded.

7-22-11        10:35pm  Deputy Fangman observed several vehicles parked on the roadway in the area of QM Ln. and 322nd. When checking out the vehicles found one subject with possession of alcohol under the age. Charged was Jason Couser 20 of Ames.

7-22-11        11:25pm  Deputy Fangman responded to a complaint of a reckless driver south bound on Highway 17 from 30. Vehicle was located in Madrid. Driver Brittany Roberts 20 of Boone was charged with driving while License suspended.

7-23-11        12:46am Sgt. Wingate responded to Mary Greely in Ames to begin an investigation of an alleged Domestic abuse assault that took place in Luther. Investigation continuing.

7-23-11        1:04am  Deputy Fangman responded to a complaint of a vehicle in the ditch on S Ave. Caller was not sure of location. Deputy did locate and driver tested just under the limit for possible OWI. Vehicle had no damages, and had a ride on the way.

7-23-11        9:15am  Deputy Godzicki responded to the Bear Creek Camp on Magnolia Rd. for medical assist. Booen Ambulance responded. One person transported to Blank hospital in Des Moines.

7-23-11        1:47pm  Deputy Godzicki responded to a complaint of a wounded deer in on the roadway in the 600 blockfo T Ave. Deer was dispatched.

7-23-11        2:20pm  Deputy Godzicki responded to the 1600 block fo 315th, Madrid to begin an investigation of a garbage dump in the ditch in that area.

7-23-11        8:01pm  Sgt. Wingate responded to a complaint of a possible domestic taking place on Highway 30 in the East bound lanes near the Des Moines River. Both parties walking no vehicles in the area. Deputy arrested both parties for Public Intoxication. Arrested was Brittany L. Kelley 18 of Boone, and Christopher S. Faucett 26 of Stratford, both for public intoxication.

7-23-11        11:42pm  Sgt. Wingate responded to Luther to pick-up a 15 year old who had been rifding his bike and could not go any further. Returned the kid to his Parents in Boone.

7-24-11        3:54am  Sgt. Wingate made a traffic stop on Park Circle and Story St. Boone. Driver Michael A. Bailey 21 of Nevada Iowa was arrested for possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernilia.

7-24-11        9:43pm  Deputy Pontius responded to a complaint of a vacant home that had been broken into in Sheldahl. Investigation continuing.

7-24-11        1:51pm  Deputy Pontius responded to a medical call of Cyclist on the bike trail near the Tressel that had gone down with possible heat stroke. Boone Ambulance responded.

7-24-11        6:25pm  Deputy Gray made a traffic stop in the 1100 block of 233rd St, boone. Driver Kaitlyn D. Meier 20 of Norwalk Iowa was charged with under age possession of alcohol. A passenger got out of the vehicle and was arrested for unlawful possession of prescription drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia, he was Bennett W. Lottman 22 of West Des Moines.

7-25-11        8:14am  Deputy Pontius responded to a incomplete 911 call in the 900 block of J  Ave area. Checked out OK

7-25-11        8:23pm  Deputy Gray responded to a domestic situation, over a dispute of a child custody in the 1000 block of 12th, St, Boone. Boone P.D. had no Officers available at the time of call.

7-25-11        9:44pm  Deputy Gray responded to an incompete 911 call in the 1200 block of Javelin Place, Ogden. Everything checked out OK

7-25-11        11:15pm  Deputy Ruter responded to a single vehicle personal injury accident at R Ave and 280th. Driver Christopher R. Allison 21 of Boone was north bound on R Ave, when another vehicle swerved into his lane and almost hit him, Allison swerved and went into the ditch. Allsion was injured and was taken by Ambulance for treatment of injuries. Allison was also cited for no insurance. Damages were est. at $4,000.00 to a 1995 Ford Pick-up.

7-26-11        2:14am  Deputy Ruter responded to Pilot Mound in the 100 block of 1st St. Domestic situation. Female party was taken to the Boone for family support, no arrests.

7-26-11        8:40am  Deputy Pontius assisted a stalled motorist who had ran out of gas on Highway 30 east bound lanes, near Boone.

7-26-11        11:20am  Deputy Pontius located a RAGBRAI bicyclist who had fallen on E18 and Pilot St, Pilot Mound. After ambulance was dispatched rider refused treatment.

7-26-11        11:57am  Deputy Pontius and Godzicki assisted with RAGBRAI Cyclist who had passed out and fallen onto the pavement on Nature Rd, 2 miles north of Boone. Cyclist was taken by ambulance with head injuries and leg injury. Later transported by Air Ambulance to a Des Moines Hospital.

7-26-11        1:12pm  Sheriff Fehr located a Van and Trailer parked on West Mamie in the east bound lanes blocking traffic in Front of L&M.  Individuals were with RAGBRAI and parked there and set up a break area in the city parking area. They were told to move on and not to park in the traveled portion, and set up a break area off the City Parking.

7-26-11        2:13pm  Sgt Wingate responded to a medical call of a cyclist that had lost control on Twister Hill east of Pilot Mound on E18. Cyclist was taken by ambulance with injuries.

7-26-11        2:19pm  Chief Deputy Elsberry and Deputies Godzicki and Ruter responded to the United Community School on a complaint of a mental individual who was possibly armed with tools. Area was checked out and no one was there fitting that description. Caller was located and said that this had taken place last night. Caller was confusing and made little sense. False call.

7-26-11        4:07pm  Search and Rescue assisted with a down cyclist at the corner of Division and 22nd St, Boone. Cyclist had fallen and injured wrist Ambulance dispatched.

7-26-11        6:45pm  Deputy Gray responded to an alarm sounding in the 1800 block of 195th at Forage Genetics, was a false alarm.

7-26-11        9:30pm  Deputy Gray responded to an ambulance assist at E18 and Highway 17. Cyclist had fallen off of bike and received possible concussion, Story City Ambulance responded.

7-26-11        11:37pm  Deputy Zeutenhorst arrested a Damon C. Jeter 39 of Ankeny on a Polk County warrants one for failure to appear for jail time and another for failure to pay child support, No Bond.

7-27-11        12:28am  Deputy Zeutenhorst and Ruter responded to a altercation call in front of Family Video in Boone. One person was arrested by Boone P.D.

7-27-11        12:41pm  Deputy Pontius too a report from a Rural Boone woman, who reported that her 400 gallon water tank had slid out of her pick-up on Highway 30 near the Des Moines River, she left the tank along the road to make an appointment returned to pick it up and witnessed a man in white pick-up place in his pick-up and followed to Ames, and lost it. She then reported the incident.  Still under investigation.

7-27-11        2:46pm  Deputy Pontius responded to a complaint of a cyclist injured near violet Ave on a bike path. Boone County ambulance responded.

7-27-11        8:40pm  Comm 911 received a call in the 1600 block of Q Ave, Madrid of a man injured while mowing a steep incline area. Boone ambulance responded. Did not appear to be a serious injury.

7-27-11        11:26pm  Deputy Ruter made a traffic stop for speed in the 1200 block of Highway 169. Driver Anthony Martin 21 of Badger Iowa was cited for speeding, a passenger Lawrencia Ann Rogers 18 of Fort Dodge was cited for possession of drug parapharnilia.

7-28-11        12:06am  Deputy Gray made a traffic stop on Highway 30 west bond east of Boone. Complaint was made of possible drunk driver. Deputy checked out the driver and found to be tired, not intoxicated.

7-28-11        7:34am  Deputy Godzicki assisted with a roll-over accident on Highway 30 just west of McHose park entrance. Vehicle had hydroplained during the down poor of rain.

7-28-11        9:00am  Deputy Godzicki completed an investigation of an assault that took place in the Jail between inmates. Charged with serious assault was a Desmond J. Collins 19 of Fort Dodge.

7-28-11        6:29pm  Reserve Deputies Salati and Lutz responded to a domestic situation involving parents and out of control child in the 1000 block of 130th. Deputies counseled the child and parents, and suggested that seek outside family counseling.

7-28-11        9:43pm  Reserve Deputy Lutz made a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Highway 169. Driver Jordan T. Wardell 18 of Fort Dodge was charged with driving while license suspended.

7-28-11        11:26pm  Deputy Ruter made a traffic stop for a tail light out in the 2300 block of Highway 210. Passenger Robert S. Henry 20 of Slater was arrested as he was wanted on a Polk County warrant, also cited for possession of alcohol under the legal age. Transported to the Polk County line for pick-up by Polk County Deputies.

7-29-11        12:17am  Deputy Gray stopped a vehicle in Boone in the 300 block of Story St. Boone. A passenger was observed to have a can of beer and was cited for open container of Alcohol in the vehicle, he was identified as Curtis D. Hansen 23 of Boone. The driver Steven Turner 26 of Boone was arrested for OWI 2nd.

7-29-11        2:11pm  Story County Sheriff's Office reported that a Deputy had located a stolen trailer in their County that had been stolen earlier in the month from Van Wall Equipment east of Madrid. Investigation continuing.

7-29-11        2:45pm  Deputy Godzicki responded to a complaint of a vehicle in the ditch just south of 140th on H Ave, Pilot Mound. Owner was located and charged with failure to maintain control, driver was Michelle Lacy 45 of Ogden. No damages were reported to the vehicle.

7-29-11        6:40pm  Deputy Zeutenhorst responded to a complaint of a vehicle that had just gone into the Ditch, and witnessed opbserve the driver. Deputy arrived and arrested the driver Steven D. Meister 47 of Rippey for OWI 2.

7-29-11        11:10pm  Deputy Zeutenhorst made a traffic stop at 195th and Y Ave. Driver Kari Kruckenberg 23 of Ogden was charged with providing alcohol to under age person. Ryan D. Peppels 20 of Ames was cited for possession of alcohol under the legal age.

7-29-11        11:36pm  Deputy Pontius assisted a Madrid Officer after a report that there was an underage party going on with Alcohol in the 200 block of E 2nd. Madrid. The following were charged with under age possession of Alcohol. Matthew J. Smith 18 of Runnels, Scott D. Armstrong 20 of Huxley, Mercades A. Nessa 18 of Huxley, Kristina J. McCasland 16 of Slater, Cole E. West 19 of Urbandale, and Blake A. Brewer 20 of Madrid.

7-30-11        12:28am  Deputy Fangman responded to the Ledges State PArk to assist the Ledges Officer with an under age party involving alcohol. Cited for possession of alcohol under the legal age were, Chandra Hanson 19 of Boone, and Samantha Hanson 20 of Boone.

7-30-11        1:28am  Sgt. Wingate responded to a complaint of under age party involving alcohol on the High Tressel Bridge bike Trail West of Madrid. Kids ran off into wooded areas.

7-30-11        1:40am  Deputy Fangman responded to the Highway 30 East of Boone. Cller reported being ran off the roadway by an East bound vehicle in the West bound lanes. No injuries were reported, and no damages. Vehicle in the wrong lanes was not located.

7-30-11        5:55pm  Deputy Zeutenhorst assisted with ambulance call in the 1000 block of 215th, Place.

7-30-11        8:26pm  Reserve Deputy Twigg responded to the Boone County Hospital to transport a mental patient to the VA Hospital in Des Moines.

7-31-11        3:14am  Sgt Wingate made a traffic stop at 2nd and Market in Madrid. Driver Mark W. Dalton 50 of Madrid was arrested for OWI.

7-31-11        5:46am Deputy Fangman responded to an incomplete 911 call from 436 190th St, Ogden, everything OK..

7-31-11        9:07am Deputy Godzicki responded to a complaint of a cow loose on the Bike trail West of Madrid. Dallas County Deputy on scene observed the cow.

7-31-11        9:56am  Deputy Godzicki assisted a stalled motorist on Highway 210 near the Des Moines River Bridge.

7-31-11        1:46pm  Deputy Godzicki responded to a complaint of several boys jumping from the Wagon Wheel Bridge NW of Boone. Deputy located some boys swimming and warned them to not jump from the bridge.

7-31-11        3:25pm  Deputy Godzicki responded to meet a woman new the 210 Boat Ramp west of Madrid. She claimed to have located some bones and was concerned they may be human. Deer remains. DNR Notified.

7-31-11        7:50pm  Deputy Zeutenhorst responded to a complaint of a child out of control at 646 290th St, Ogden. The child had struck a parent, then struck the Deputy in the face. Child Devon Stubbs 11 of that address was arrested for an assault on the parent, and then assault on the Deputy.
