5-01-12 12:40am Deputies Gray and Ruter responded to a vehicle in the ditch in the 1700 block of Highway 17. Driver Abby Sorber 18 of Boone lost control and went into the ditch striking a fence and fence post. Sorber was charged with Failure to maintain control, and a passenger Dillon Dalton 22 of Madrid was arrested for possession of drug parapharnilia. Numerous containers of prescription drugs were confiscated and investigation continuing as well as the accident itself. No injuries were reported.
5-01-12 7:06am Deputy Pontius responded to a complaint of the theft of several bags of seed corn from West Central Co-op at the Jordan location. Reported was 5 bags missing at $285.00 per bag.
5-01-12 2:19pm Deputy Pontius responded to a complaint of a suspicious bottle delivered to the Slater Syngenta Seed Co. Just West of Slater in Boone County. 6 People had been exposed. Emergency Management and Des Moines Haz Mat were on scene. Everything checked out O.K. Note in the Bottle was in a threatening manner, but no dangerous materials were detected. Suspect from Austin Tx area. Investigation continuing.
5-01-12 3:44pm Chief Deputy Elsberry and Deputy Pontius responded to a single vehicle accident in the 1900 block of S Ave, Madrid. Same vehicle had been reported to have gone into the ditch in the 1700 block a few minutes earlier and then left the scene. Operator Nicholas L. Baumgarn 18 of Madrid. Damages were reported to be $4,000.00 to a 1993 Oldsmobile. $200.00 to the field and fence. Baumgarn was airlifted to a Des Moines Hospital. Charges pending.
5-01-12 7:35pm Deputy Gray responded to a complaint of theft from a home in the 600 block of V Ave, Boone. Missing was jewelry coins and cash, investigation continuing.
5-01-12 10:31pm Deputy Gray assisted the Boone P.D. with a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Story St. One person arrested for OWI.
5-01-12 11:16pm Deputy Ruter made a traffic stop after a call from a citizen of driver acting strange and asking for directions to Clear Lake at the Boone McDonalds. Vehicle located and stopped by Deputy Operator Michael L. Bullock 63 of Clear Lake arrested for driving while license revoked, OWI 3rd
5-02-12 2:00am Storm damages were reported by Deputies and Search and Rescue spotters Trees reported down on the roadway 1.5 miles north of Boone on Nature Rd, Debris reported on the roadway in the 100 block of W Ave, Structural damage to a machine shed and tree snapped at 183 W Ave, 1026 R Ave reported a front porch took off and debris on vehicle and power lines down. Damages reported at 641 D Ave machine shed damaged and house damaged. 821 Nature Rd trees reported down.
5-02-12 3:32am Deputy Ruter responded to 1026 R Ave, Home that reported damages earlier was now reporting smoke in the house form the power lines. Boone Fire responded. Alliant was called a second time to cut the power to that area.
5-02-12 8:51am Chief Deputy Elsberry transported an inmate to the Curt Forbes Residential Center in Ames, from the Boone County Jail.
5-02-12 11:07am Sgt Kendall began an investigation with Kiowa OK on an Identity theft of a Rural Madrid woman. Credit card info had been stolen and changed the address to Kiowa Ok.
5-02-12 2:45pm Deputy Godzicki responded to a two vehicle accident at T Ave and Highway 30. Amanda M. Finley 25 of Philadelphia PA. was east bound on 30 when she attempted to turn onto T Ave North bound, while doing this Finley failed to yield the right of way to a west bound vehicle operated by Diane L. Booten 47 of Boone. No injuries were reported. Damages were est. at $5,000.00 to Booten's 2003 Taurus, and $2,500.00 to Finley's 2007 Saturn. Finley was cited for failure to yield right of way.
5-02-12 5:26pm Deputy Gray and Zeutenhorst responded to an alarm sounding at the Security Savings Bank in Boxholm, was a false alarm.
5-02-12 6:18pm Deputy Gray responded to Ogden to assist the Ogden Officer with a mental situation, male was in altercation and threatening suicide. Individual located in the 500 block of Elm, taken into custody and transported to the Boone County Hospital for evaluation. Hand was retrieved from a vehicle and individuals hand gun permit confiscated.
5-02-12 8:21pm Deputy Zeutenhorst responded to a complaint of child threatening suicide in the 600 block of 290th, Ogden. Child was taken to the Boone County Hospital for evaluation.
5-03-12 12:42am Deputy Gray responded to an incomplete 911 in the 500 block of 170th St, Ogden. No problems.
5-03-12 4:08pm Sheriff's Office executed a Boone County Search warrant at 16412 Pioneer, Bouton Ia, in Dallas County. recovered was property from 2 Boone County Burglaries in Rural Woodward, 2318 L Ave on 2/11/12, and 746 330th, on 3/2/12. Suspect has left the property and is assumed on the run. Dallas County and Perry P.D. also have Burglaries and property recovered from this residence on an earlier Search Warrant. Investigation continuing.
5-03-12 5:38pm Deputy Zeutenhorst made a traffic stop in Madrid, suspect fled on foot and into his home at E 210 North St, Madrid. Suspect did come out and was cited for tinted window violation and violation of a restricted license. Cited was Blake A. Brewer 21 of that address.
Correction to an April 22nd 2012 news release, the driver of a 2007 Chevy that struck a deer on Highway 30 near the Story County line was Leah M. Savits 19 of Ogden, not Lisa L. Savits 40 of Ogden. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained $5,000.00 in damages.
5-03-12 7:52pm Deputy Zeutenhorst arrested a Ashely M. Frrs 25 of Boone on a Warrant out of Ankeny, theft 3rd, bond $2,000.00.
5-04-12 8:00am Deputy Godzicki began an investigation of a school bus violation that took place in the 2200 block of 228th Place, Ames. United Comm School bus. Charged with unlawful passing a school bus was Kayoko Kimura 61 of Ames.
5-04-12 10:00am The Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant for guns and ammo at 1012 335th St, Woodward, after the warrant was executed and during search drugs were located. Another warrant was obtained for Meth and Marijuana. Arrested at the scene were Rebecca J. Norgart 49 of that address for Possession of meth, marijuana, and drug parapharnilia, Curtis W. Jurgenson 48 also of that address was arrested for possession of marijuana, and meth, and possession of firearms as a felon.
5-04-12 4:47pm Deputy Godzicki arrested a Erin R. Blue 27 of Boone on a Boone County warrant at the Sheriff's Office. Bond $1,000.00. Original charge public intox 2nd offense.
5-05-12 1:11am Deputy Fangman took a report and started an investigation of an alleged serious assault that took place at the Fareway Warehouse in the 2300 block of Industrial Rd.
5-05-12 7:10am Deputy Godzicki assisted a stalled motorist on E26 and Mallard Rd.
5-05-12 9:25am Deputy Godzicki responded to a complaint of a stop sign down at X Ave and 130th. County Rd Dept called to repair.
5-05-12 3:11pm Deputy Godzicki and Zeutenhorst responded to a corn crib fire at 1896 130th St, Boone. Boone Fire responded, no injuries were reported.
5-06-12 8:54am Deputy Godzicki responded to a complaint of a red vehicle that driven off the roadway into the ditch west bound 30 near Highway 17. Driver Dorothy M. Hocking 82 of Ellsworth IA. lost control in the rain and went into the ditch. No injuries or damages were reported to her vehicle.
5-06-12 6:56pm Sgt Wingate responded to the Highbridge on a trespassing complaint. Arrested for simple trespassing were the following Matthew Harttzell 24 of Ames, Luke D. Jacobs 27 of Carroll, and Natalie J. Eickert 21 of Andover IA.
5-06-12 Deputy Fangman completed an investigation that began 3/30/12 of an alleged assault by a parent on a child. DHS was also involved. Charged with Assault was Johna L. Olson 25 of Fraser for assault on her daughter age 4. Olson was also charged with giving a false statement to Officer. Investigation was started by Carroll County Sheriff's Office until they determined that the alleged assault had taken place in Fraser.
5-07-12 5:47am Deputy Fangman responded to a residential alarm going off in the 1500 block of Magnolia Rd, was a false alarm.
5-07-12 7:59am Transport Officer responded to the Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames to transport a mental patient from their facility to Court in Boone. Was completed by 11:46am.
5-07-12 8:39am Deputy Pontius began an investigation of a theft of siding off a barn that had blown down in recent wind. Barn located north of Boone on Monarch Dr.
5-07-12 11:29am Deputy Pontius responded to a complaint that a power line had been knocked down by a County truck on M Ave and 130th. Alliant was dispatched as wanted Law Enforcement on the scene until line was safe. No injuries were reported.
5-07-12 7:55pm Transport Officer assisted the Boone County Ambulance with a mental patient that needed to be transported to a Spencer Hospital by Ambulance. was completed at 5:32am 5/08/12.
5-08-12 2:07am Sheriff's Office received a report of missing teen from Boone was to be fishing with friends and did not return home by 9pm. Areas checked where Mother said he was to be fishing in a pond just west of Boone on Old 30 Halletts pits, not there. Boone P.D. found the teen at a house in Boone, and returned him home.
5-08-12 8:40am Deputy Pontius began an investigation of a school bus violation that occurred on 270th , near Luther, United Comm School bus was passed unlawfully. Investigation continuing.
5-08-12 10:18am Chief Deputy Elsberry arrested a Brian L. Johnson 48 of Ames who was wanted on a State Parole warrant, no bond. He was the person who was shot earlier on South Division St. Boone. Additional charges are pending at this time. Johns was located in Jefferson after being released by the Hospital in Des Moines.
5-08-12 3:28pm Deputy Pontius responded to assist the Madrid P.D. with arrests of two individuals involved in drugs at 5th and Main St, Madrid. 2 arrested.
5-08-12 5:59pm Deputy Gray responded to an ambulance assist at 1300 block of Moingona Rd, Boone.
5-08-12 5:51pm Deputy Gray responded to an alarm sounding at MG Biologics in the 2300 block of 270th, Ames. was a false alarm at their loading dock.
5-09-12 2:05am Deputy Ruter located an open door at the Pilot Mound City Hall, Mayor responded to secure the door.
5-09-12 2:54am Deputy Ruter investigated a car-deer accident on highway 30 just east of Montana. Operator Nicholas L. Blackburn 62 of Jefferson was east bound when a deer ran out in front of him. Damages were est. at $5,000.00 to a 1999 Buick. No injures were reported.
5-09-12 4:45pm Sgt Kendall arrested a Devin G. Sutton 21 of Ogden on a Boone County warrant for probation revocation, no bond.
5-09-12 5:30am Deputy Gray arrested an Anton G. Sutton 23 of Ogden for Burglary 3rd from a vehicle. This incident took place back on April 29th near the Wagon Wheel bridge. Also charged Burglary 3rd was Justice Pritchard 16 of Boone, was released to parents.
5-09-12 6:24pm Transport Officer transported a female mental patient from the Boone County Hospital to Mary Greeley in Ames. was completed at 8:30pm.
5-09-12 7:23pm Deputy Ruter responded to the Boone County Jail on a complaint of a couple of inmates in a fight. Jailers had separated. One inmate Larry Morgan 28 of Des Moines was charged with Serious assault and criminal mischief.
5-10-12 4:57pm Deputy Gray responded to a lifeline call in the 1800 block of West 2nd Ext. was a false alarm, all OK.
5-10-12 9:58pm Deputy Ruter responded to a Pick-up deer accident on highway 30 just west of the Story County line. Ryan T. Myers 27 of Boone struck the deer in the roadway, no injuries were reported, and no damages to his 2006 Ford F150.
5-10-12 10:57pm Deputy Gray responded to a truck fire at E26 and R Ave. Owner and operator of the vehicle Anthony A. Williams 32 of Pilot Mound, no injuries were reported, Boone Fire responded. Vehicle a 2004 F350.
5-11-12 9:34am Deputy Pontius responded to an incomplete 911 call to the 1800 block of I Ave, Ogden. No problems phone Co. was on scene making repairs.
5-11-12 11:13am Deputy Pontius arrested a Duane L. Shreve 47 of Luther for public intox, arrest made at the Sheriff's Office.
5-11-12 4:06pm Deputy Gray investigated a personal injury accident in the 900 block of 330th, Woodward. Dawn J. Gann 41 of Sylacauga AL. was east bond on 330th when she lost control and went into the north ditch and struck a fence and tree. Gann was taken by Boone County Ambulance to the Dallas County Hospital for her injuries. Damages were est at $3,500.00 to a 2002 Toyota.
5-11-12 5:14pm Deputy Zeutenhorst investigated a 2 vehicle accident at Highway 30 and L Ave, Boone. No injuries were reported. Accident report not completed. Operator Emily DeMoss 23 of Grand Jct IA. was stopped at the stop sign, when she was struck from the rear by another vehicle operated by Jason W. Purvis 30 of Ames. No injuries, damages were est. at $1,000.00 to DeMoss's 2004 Honda, and $1,000.00 to Purvis' 2005 GMC.
5-11-12 9:05pm Sgt. Wingate assisted a stalled motorist at 315th and Highway 17, Madrid.
5-12-12 12:19am Deputy Fangman responded to an ambulance assist in the 2200 block of QM Ave, Madrid.
5-12-12 11:42am Deputy Godzicki responded to a single vehicle roll-over in the 800 block of L Ave [E26] North West of Boone. Driver Kristin M. Stoneburner 30 of Boone was south bound on L Ave when she lost control of her vehicle and rolled into the East ditch , striking a culvert and rolling once. Stoneburner and her passengers James Matthews 42 of Boone, Hailey Stoneburner 12, and Makenya Larson 12 of Boone, were all air lifted to Des Moines Hospitals. Another Passenger Jarrett Stoneburner age 7 was pronounced dead at the scene. His mother was the Driver. The 1997 Chevy was a total loss. The Iowa State Patrol along with Boone Fire, Boone Ambulance Parmedics, Ogden fire and rescue all assisted at the scene. Investigation continuing.
5-12-12 1:06pm Sgt Wingate responded to the ledges after a call of an individual threatening suicide by jumping from a cliff at the Ledges State Park. MAle individual was located and taken to the Boone County Hospital for evaluation.
5-12-12 5:46pm Deputy Zeutenhorst responded to a complaint of a traffic jam in the area of 1271 217th Lane, Boone. Located just off Montana Rd, SW section of Boone.
5-12-12 11:42pm Deputy Godzicki responded to a single vehicle roll-over in the 800 block of L Ave [E26] Boone. Driver Kristin M. Stoneburner 30 of Boone was south bound on L Ave, when she lost control and went into the ditch on the vehicles top then striking a culvert, rolling the vehicle back up right. Stoneburner and her passengers James W. Matthews 42 of Boone, Hailey Stoneburner 12 of Boone, and Makenya Larson 12 of Boone were all air lifted to Des Moines Hospitals. Another passenger Jarrett Stoneburner 7 was pronounced dead at the scene. The Iowa State Patrol along with Boone Ambulance paramedics, Boone Fire, Ogden Fire and Rescue all assisted at the scene. Investigation continuing.
5-12-12 1:06pm Sgt Wingate responded to the Ledges after receiving a complaint that a male was threatening suicide by jumping off a cliff on one of the trails at the Ledges State Park. Male individual was located and taken to the Boone County Hospital for evaluation.
5-12-12 2:14pm Deputy Zeutenhorst began an investigation of the theft of Jewelry from a residence in the 900 block of Mink Lane. Investigation continuing.
5-12-12 5:46pm Deputy Zeutenhorst responded to the 1200 block of 217th for a traffic jam in that area. Vehicle were going to this location as their GPS's were showing this as the area of the Farm Progress location and Lazor Fest for this Sunday. Area is Western edge of Boone Off of Montana Rd, no where close the area they wanted.

5-12-12 10:55pm Deputy Fangman responded to a complaint of an underage drinking party in the 1200 block of 182nd Lane, Boone. The following were cited for under age possession of Alcohol. Joseph A. Abbott 16, Nokota Dalton 14, Chrstine N. Meeks 14, Alanna L. Patterson 15, Ashley N. Lehman 15, Kara L. Stevens 16, Taylor K. Andrews 15, All of Boone.
5-13-12 9:27am Reports again of a large volume of traffic going into the 217th Lane area on the West side of Boone confused with the Farm progress site.
5-13-12 11:01am Transport Officer transported a mental patient from the Boone County Hospital to St Anthony's Hospital in Carroll IA. Completed at 2:30pm.

5-13-12 11:28pm Deputy Fangman began an investigation after a call from a Perry Woman claiming that her 17 year old son had been assaulted at Lazorfest earlier in the day. Investigation continuing.
5-14-12 12:18am Deputy Fangman responded to a complaint of a vehicle driving through a bean field near Lazorfest. Vehicle located and driver Joseph L. Bailey 39 of Iowa City IA was arrested for OWI.

5-14-12 11:50am Transport Officer picked up a prisoner from Dallas County Jail and brought to the Boone County Jail. Transported was Robert R. Gulbranson 30 of Manson, wanted on a Boone County warrant for driving while barred and possession of controlled substances, bond $2,000.00.
5-14-12 1:15pm Deputy Godzicki responded to what was called a motorcycle accident on West Lincolnway, Ames. Operator Marilyn M. Stoeffler 52 of Ames had stopped her motorcycle and tipped it over hitting her head. No damages to the 2007 Harley. She refused treatment.
5-14-12 9:04pm Deputy Zeutenhorst investigated a car-deer accident in the 1800 block of highway 17. Alan G. Vetter 48 of Madrid was south bound on 17 when he struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported, damages were est. at $2,000.00 to a 2004 Chevy.
5-14-12 10:32pm Deputy Fangman investigated a car-deer accident in the 1400 block of C Ave. Jaqueline K. Gannon 51 of Grand Jct IA. was north bound when she struck a deer in the roadway. No injures were reported. Damages were est. at $5,000.00 to a 2007 Expedition.
5-15-12 6:00am Transport Officer responded to Mercy Medical in Mason City to transport a mental patient to Court in Boone. Completed at 10:35am.
5-15-12 7:46am Deputy Godzicki arrested a Seth N. Janssen 25 of Ogden, Janssen turned himself into the Sheriff's Office on a Boone County warrant for assault, bond $1,000.00.
5-15-12 1:08pm Deputy Godzicki responded to a medical assist at the Honey Creek Golf Course south of Boone. Boone Ambulance responded.
5-15-12 8:23pm Transport Officer responded to the Boone County Hospital to pick-up a mental patient and transported to Mercy Franklin in Des Moines. Was completed at 12:10am.
5-16-12 7:10am Deputy Pontius responded to a complaint of dead deer on the roadway west of Ogden on Highway 30. Deputy checked the area and the deer had already been removed.
5-16-12 7:27am Deputy Pontius assisted a Boone County Ambulance with a patient who had fallen at home in the 900 block of 222nd Dr. Ogden.
5-16-12 3:49pm Deputy Pontius responded to the Boone County Hospital on a report of a victim of a BB Gun shooting. Investigation revealed that a 17 year old Collin Green of Luther who was visiting a Friend in the 700 block of S. Division outside the City limits of Boone had accidently shot another friend Spencer Ouverson 18 of Boone with a BB gun he did not realize was loaded. The BB penetrated behind the ear and will have to be removed. No charges were filed.
5-16-12 4:28pm Deputy Pontius responded to a domestic situation between a parent and a teenager in the 200 block of M Ave, Boone. No arrests made as no signs of assault took place.
5-17-12 12:00am Deputy Ruter made a traffic stop at the intersection of Nature Rd and 22nd, Boone. Driver Megan M Tucker 21 of Stratford was arrested for OWI 1st.
5-17-12 8:24am Deputy Pontius responded to the 2100 block of 110th St, Story City on a complaint of a property line dispute.
5-17-12 9:36pm Deputy Ruter responded to the 300 block of Boone St. Boone, as Boone P.D. where busy on other calls, this was a complaint of trespassers in a back yard.
5-18-12 3:03pm Deputy pontius responded to a complaint of child out of control in the 1400 block of 223rd, Boone. Juvenile taken to the Boone County Hospital by Ambulance for evaluation. Hospital could not locate another hospital to take a committal so child was released to home.
5-18-12 4:33pm Deputy Pontius responded to a personal injury accident 1 mile west of Don Williams on G Ave. Driver Paula A. Mallinger 44 of Carroll IA was north bound on G Ave in the 500 block when she lost control on the gravel and went into the east ditch and rolled the vehicle 3 times, Paula was airlifted to a Des Moines Hospital her passenger Machael A. Mallinger 40 of Des Moines received injures and was transported by a Boone County Ambulance to the Boone County Hospital. Paula will be charged with failure to maintain control, no insurance and driving while license barred. Damages were est at $3,500.00 to a 1998 Ford Explorer.
5-18-12 5:16pm Transport Officer called in to transport a mental patient to Mercy North in Mason City from the Boone County Hospital. was completed by 9:45pm.
5-18-12 8:27pm Sgt Wingate responded to a domestic situation in the 2300 block of K Ave, Woodward, things resolved for now, no charges filed only verbal.
5-19-12 5:09am Transport Officer called in to transport a mental patient to the VA Hospital in Des Moines, from the Boone County Hospital. Was completed by 8am.
5-19-12 7:49am Deputy Pontius responded to an incomplete 911 call from the 700 block of 200th St, Boone. Just turned out to be a cordless phone malfunction.
5-19-12 9:33am Deputy Pontius responded to a complaint of a dead deer in the roadway on E57, just east of the Des Moines River. Deputy removed the deer.
5-19-12 10:37am Deputy Pontius was enroute to a 911 call for medical emergency in the 1300 block of XB Place, Ames. 911 operator had female caller on the line while in the process of getting all units to that location the female became impatient and said that she would take the male to the Hospital herself in Ames. Mary Greely was informed. This is a reminder to 911 users that you may feel like things are not moving fast enough or dispatchers are asking to many questions, but this is all the standard proceedures used, to get the best services to the patients as quickly as possible. Remember that when the dispatcher is asking questions the other dispatcher is able to listen and get the proper units on there way at the same time.
5-19-12 12:30pm Deputy Pontius responded to an alarm sounding at PDM North Warehouse in the 2900 block of Heinrich Dr, Boone. Key holder arrived and open door was found and secured.
5-19-12 1:45pm Deputy Pontius responded to a domestic situation in the 500 block of Keen Ave, Fraser area. Argument was between a mother and daughter and that the Mother had been driving drunk and drove into a ditch. Arrested for OWI 1st was Debra S. Callaway 42 of Boone.
5-19-12 1:55pm Deputy Godzicki responded to a Domestic situation in the 400 block of P Ave, Boone. Female had told her boyfriend to move out and would not let him in the house. 5-22-12 1:41am Deputy Zeutenhorst stopped a motorcycle he saw operating on the sidewalk at Mamie and Benton in Boone. Driver Wayne A. Stout 61 of Ames was cited for operating a motorcycle with no license, motorcycle towed.

McGrory 19 of Ames, Charlotte W. Quant 18 of Ames, Ian F. Mart 18 of Ames, Michael J. Elbert 18 of Ames, All for possession of alcohol under the legal age. Drew Smith 17 of Ames minor in possession of Alcohol.

5-24-12 12:14am Deputy Fangman responded to an alarm sounding at Technochem International Inc on Quartz, Boone. Alarm set off by high winds and were having problems getting reset. All OK.
5-24-12 9:22am Deputy Godzicki responded to a complaint of a vehicle going the wrong way on Highway 30 east bound din west bond lanes near Story St. Deputy unable to locate the vehicle at the time. Vehicle and driver located a short time later. Driver was and elderly woman from the Eastern Star Home. Eastern Star notified and DOT notified for re-exam.
5-24-12 10:17am Chief Deputy Elberry arrested a Michael J. Hunter 20 of Boone at the Curt Forbs residential Center in Ames. Arrest was on a Boone County warrant for probation revocation.
5-24-12 10:43am Deputy Godzicki began an investigation of Golden Retrievers missing or possible stolen from a rural residence in the 400 block of 310th St, Perry. 2 in the last month. Humane Society was informed as the dogs do have tracking chips.
5-24-12 11:47am Deputy Godzicki assisted an Ogden Officer with an arrest of a Shane T. Smith wanted on a Dallas County warrant, Smith 31 of Madrid was transported to the Dallas County on a $5,000.00 bond.
5-24-12 7:20pm Deputy Zeutenhorst responded to a theft call in the 1800 block of 330th Madrid. Storage unit had been broken into and victim reported motor engines and parts were missing, Investigation continuing.
5-25-12 5:51am Deputy Fangman and Pontius responded to a two vehicle accident at Highway 30 and L Ave. Theodore F. Doggett 78 of Ogden was east bound on 30 when he turned north onto L Ave, he failed to yield to a west bound vehicle and pulled into the path of Majak D. Majak 30 of Ames. Only minor injuries were reported. Damages were est. at $2,000.00 to Majak's 1999 Nissan, and $8,000.00 to Doggett's 2003 Chevy. Doggett was cited for failure to yield upon entering a highway.
5-25-12 9:40am The Central Iowa Task Force began rounding up individuals on Warrants throughout the County involving drug activity, bonds ranged from $25,000.00 to $100,000.00 A total of 19 arrests were made by the end of the day. Boone P.D. will release the names later 5/29/12. This was the results of several months of hard work through investigations by members of the Central Iowa Task Force in Boone County. Cooperation between agencies in the fight against drugs.

5-25-12 7:48pm Deputy Ellison responded to Pilot Mound to assist a woman with her husband who has not been acting right since returning from the Hospital. Transported to Boone County Hospital for evaluation. Later transported to Iowa City Hospital left Boone Hospital at 12:45am

5-25-12 10:34pm Sgt Wingate responded to Boone as they had an Officer in foot pursuit, Wingate used K-9 Taser to pursue and track down suspect in garage in the 100 block of Marshall, Boone. Individual took into custody by Boone P.D. after K-9 track.
5-26-12 9:14am Deputy Pontius served federal warrants on Jeffrey A. Stevens 40 of Boone and Brian L. Johnson 48 of Woodward, both already being held on State charges in the Boone County Jail. Both charged by ATF for felons in possession of firearms and ammunition as felons.

5-27-12 4:57am Sgt Wingate responded to a call to assist Hamilton County that had two squad cars rammed during a chase and male suspect had fled on foot. K-9 was able to get officer direction of flight and located clothing that the suspect had shed during chase. Investigation continuing.

5-30-12 11:07am Sgt Kendall took a report of a stolen trailer from the industrial Rd area east edge of Boone. Reported stolen sometime since this past Tuesday. investigation continuing.
