Rhoades Acres
Acquired in 1997 with help from the National Wild Turkey Federation, Rhodes Acres is two stripes of land consisting of 160 acres of public hunting land. Here you will find deer, turkey, pheasant, rabbit, and squirrel. This wildlife area is located north of Pilot Mound on the Des Moines River flood plain. Parking is limited to the road.
No camping, off-road vehicles, or fires. All hunting stands must be labeld with the owner's name, phone number, and address; and all must be removed within one week of deer season closing.
Directions: Go east from Pilot Mound 1.3 miles on 130th Street. Turn north on J Ave and travel 1.3 miles to the "T". Turn east on Juniper Ave and go 2 miles until you see the property sign on the right hand side.
